Tim has held several high-level positions in government and private industry managing federal and commercial programs critical to national security needs. He served 20+ years as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps in a variety of staff and command positions in combat and peacetime operations.

Tim advises private, corporate, non-governmental organizations, and U.S. Government senior officials on driving alignment into action. Tim focuses on early-stage companies on the federal landscape. This includes cultural atmospherics between departments and agencies, structure, requirements, policies, processes, and the validation/realignment of a company’s go-to-market approach for the federal environment. Tim consistently increases top line revenues and entries into the federal market by advising on federal strategy and developing compelling narratives to communicate to the right decision makers.

Tim created and co-led an interagency intelligence/operations fusion cell to counter terrorist finance. In addition, Tim worked in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Terrorist Finance and Operations Section and served as an advisor in matters pertaining to US Central Command and the Department of Defense (DoD).

Tim also served as Military Aide and Emergency Operations Officer for two Vice Presidents of the United States. Tim planned and executed measures that increased survivability of critical national command and control elements, and conducted geographic dispersion of leadership, staff, and infrastructure to maintain the functions of the U.S. Government in the event of nuclear war and other catastrophic events. He also served as a subject matter expert on military service matters to the Vice Presidents and their respective National Security Affairs staff.

Tim serves on various non-profit boards with a focus on veteran causes and resides in Washington D.C. where he enjoys and thrives at connecting people. He hosts the quarterly Safe House DC events that bring together a vibrant mix of individuals, including members of nongovernmental groups, industry, academia, the intelligence community, and other federal agency personnel.
