With a successful career as a leader in international business, technology, crisis management, and intelligence operations for both the U.S. Government and enterprises ranging from start-ups to the Fortune 100, Rob delivers unparalleled results gained from his expertise serving as a C-suite executive and in the White House Situation Room to the most expeditionary and austere operating environments in the world.
Directly supporting global contingency and stability operations for U.S. and foreign governments from 2014-2023 with IAP Worldwide Services, Rob initially led seven corporate business functions and one business unit before rising to COO in 2017. As COO, he had responsibility for all Profit & Loss and operational execution for up to $900 million and 5,200 people in the U.S. and 30+ countries. Prior to his promotion to COO, Rob led the capture of a 10-year, $2 billion classified global contract among other successful pursuits and partnerships.
From 2003 to 2014, Rob was the Vice President of Operations for The Boeing Company’s Kestrel Enterprises (acquired in 2008). Joining Kestrel at its nascent stage with only a handful of staff, he was fundamental in their growth to over 400 employees. Post-Boeing acquisition, he developed corporate strategy; managed teams of intelligence analysts, engineers, and project managers; built intellectual property; established customer relationships; and captured several critical pursuits with high-barrier government and private clients. Along with other Kestrel colleagues, he is a named patent holder in the core Kestrel/Boeing technology, still in use today throughout the National Security community.
Prior to joining Kestrel in 2003, Rob served in the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) including assignments with the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS-J2); positions in the White House Situation Room, and as the Deputy Defense Intelligence Officer for Global Trends and Projections. While Special Assistant to the Director of Intelligence Policy, Rob drafted Congressional Testimony for the DIA Director, accompanying him to several open and classified briefings to key Senate and House committees. During his two-year assignment to the White House Situation Room as the Intelligence Analyst and one of five Senior Duty Officers, he received a Presidential commendation for his actions in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Earlier in his career, Rob held positions as the Lead Financial Analyst for the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 (Hornet) Foreign Military Sales program; a U.S. Department of Commerce Market Research Analyst at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore; and on a Congressional staff.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from American University, an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, several intelligence commendations, and lectures annually at the University of Southern California on Crisis Management. He advises private-sector technology and non-profit organizations, speaks at trade and national security fora on emerging technology, artificial intelligence, and geopolitical issues, and participates in private enterprise incubator projects.
