Bas Beerens brings over two decades of expertise in logistics to conflict zones, specializing in capture management, tailored logistic solutions, and fundamental program management in these challenging environments.Currently, he serves as a business development consultant, focusing primarily on this specialized field.
Throughout his career, Bas has collaborated extensively with U.S.-based contractors, NATO-affiliated organizations, United Nations contractors, and maintained direct engagement with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). His work has been instrumental in supporting missions across the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.
Bas has been pivotal in establishing logistic hubs and supply chains for perishable goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to deployed forces in these regions. Notably, during the Iraq War, he facilitated the U.S. prime vendor’s efforts to transport food products into Iraq under demanding conditions.
Given the perishable nature of food supplies, Bas has consistently prioritized robust solutions to guarantee rapid delivery to final destinations while maintaining stringent temperature controls throughout the supply chain.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing field hockey, sailing, skiing, and reading.
